Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) aesthetic treatments at IVIV Health
At IVIV Health, we offer cutting-edge platelet-rich plasma (PRP) aesthetic treatments. PRP aesthetic treatments are highly effective, low-risk procedures which can be used to help address chronic pain and inflammation, as well as cosmetic treatments such as hair restoration, facials, younger-looking skin, and sexual wellness treatments. Because PRP aesthetic treatments don’t utilize any fillers or outside chemicals, the risks are minimized, making PRP a preferred option among many, including high-profile celebrities.
Our compassionate, friendly medical professionals are experts in many PRP cosmetic treatments, including skin rejuvenation, hair regrowth, and sexual wellness. Dr. Tanya Weissman manages, oversees, and directs all administration of PRP aesthetic treatments in our offices.
How does PRP aesthetic treatments work?
PRP aesthetic treatment activates the body’s natural and inherent healing processes. During our procedures, a medical professional will draw the patient’s blood, which is then spun to physically separate platelets from red blood cells, in a process called centrifugation. The separated platelet concentrate, which contains healing platelets and boosting growth factors, is then injected directly into the desired location, where the platelets kickstart natural healing. This delivery mimics natural bodily processes, as any time tissue in the body is injured or otherwise needs attention, platelet-rich plasma rushes to the tissue to initiate and advance the healing process. This healing process, as a result, can help rejuvenate skin and hair follicles.
How does PRP hair restoration work?
PRP hair rejuvenation concentrates the cell-generating powers of the platelets from your blood and redirects them directly back into the area where you're experiencing hair loss. During your PRP hair rejuvenation appointment, one of IVIV Health's friendly and knowledgeable medical professionals will draw blood when you arrive. This drawn blood is then spun to separate the cell-boosting platelets from blood cells. That concentrate is then applied to your hair follicles, where they continue to work for weeks and months after the procedure, unlike injections which require regular maintenance.
Since PRP hair rejuvenation only uses the platelets from your body, there is little risk of an adverse reaction. No chemicals or drugs are added to your concentration of platelets.
PRP regenerative aesthetic treatments
At IVIV Health, we use PRP aesthetic treatments to revitalize your skin and make your face look fresh and new. These treatments stimulate natural bodily processes to give your skin a long-lasting boost. Since platelets from your own blood are used to perform PRP, there’s only a minimal chance of allergic reactions or adverse side effects.
For facials, we combine a microneedling technique with PRP injections that infuse the skin with massive concentrations of platelets. When introduced to the skin, these platelets encourage collagen production, which returns elasticity and a youthful glow to your face.

What happens during a PRP aesthetic treatment session?
PRP aesthetic treatments, including preparation and recovery time, take approximately one hour. Time can vary depending on the treatment type. During the procedure, a numbing cream or local anesthetic may be applied to the injection site. Patients can transport themselves to and from a PRP aesthetic treatment.
Are there any side effects?
PRP aesthetic treatments are low risk. Since PRP aesthetic treatments use the patient’s own blood and no additional medication except for the occasional topical or local anesthetic, adverse reactions to the procedure are minimal. As with any injection, tenderness or soreness at the injection site may occur. Inform IVIV Health of any allergies, especially to topicals or anesthetics, before booking your appointment.
